Terms and Conditions

We look forward to welcoming you. When you make your booking, you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below. We do not want to confuse you with lots of jargon and legal wording.  The simple aim of our Terms and Conditions is to make you fully aware of what you are agreeing to when you make a booking.

Payment Details

For all bookings, we request a Cash, BACS bank transfer or card payment non-refundable deposit, to secure the booking. The Balance Payment can be made on the day of departure by cash/BACS bank transfer or card payment. Extended stays (4 days +) may be required to pay on or prior to arrival.
We can accept most major cards.

Prices
The price includes accommodation and breakfast.

You are strongly advised to take out travel insurance and if you choose not to, you are accepting the risk and potential financial loss.

Additional Terms and Conditions related to Corona Virus

  1. On dates where Lockholme Bed and Breakfast is operational, standard terms and conditions apply to cancellations in the event that you are disinclined to travel due to any risks you deem associated with Corona Virus.
  2. Should you need to cancel due to showing symptoms of Corona Virus normal cancellation terms will apply.
  3. Should you show signs of Corona Virus during your stay at Lockholme Bed and Breakfast, you should seek medical advice immediately. Where it is safe to do so you should return to your primary residence. The balance of your stay will be due in full. In the unlikely event you need to self-isolate at Lockholme Bed and Breakfast, you will be responsible for all costs related to your stay, including but not limited to, additional nights accommodation, costs of rooms unable to be let due to your self-isolation, additional food costs, professional contract cleaning of the room and property following your departure.
  4. We will be following Government Guidelines at all times.

Guest Cancellation

Once you have booked your stay and paid the deposit, our agreement is a legal contract.
If you need to cancel please contact us as soon as possible.

We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us. We do, however, appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can intervene, and we try to be as sympathetic and helpful as possible in such cases.
Cancellations can be made up to 14 days prior to the arrival date without further charge.
For cancellations within 14 days of the arrival date, we reserve the right to invoice for the remainder of the booking fee. Payment will be due immediately on receipt of the electronic invoice. Your booking does not include any cancellation insurance. It may be appropriate to have private travel insurance to cover the booking.

Non-availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund any monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival and Departure

During you stay at Lockholme Bed and Breakfast, you are also agreeing to the following:

You are over 12 years of age. If under 18 you are accompanied by an adult.

You are not bringing a dog or any other animal onto the premises. This includes leaving animals in your car overnight.

You will not smoke or light candles anywhere within Lockholme Bed and Breakfast.  If it is later found you have smoked you will be changed a minimum of £50 for additional cleaning.

You will not remove any items from Lockholme Bed and Breakfast which you have not paid for.

Please respect and take care of all items and furnishings within your bedroom and the rest of the property and report any damage prior to your departure.

You will respect the comfort of your fellow guests by minimizing noise from TV’s and opening and closing doors, especially after 10.00pm and before 8.00pm.

The accommodation will be available to you from 3.30pm on your day of arrival. Please let us know if you are to arrive earlier or later, as alternative Check-in arrangements may need to be arranged. You are most welcome to arrive earlier to park your car and a bag drop off can be made with prior arrangement. We do not offer any other services or facilities prior to 3.30pm, unless pre-arranged.

You will pay the balance of you stay on or before the final morning of your stay.

You will vacate your room no later than 10.30am on the final morning of your stay.

Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10.30am on your day of departure. Your invoice for your accommodation will be payable on departure, if not already paid. Should you wish to leave luggage for later collection please let us know in advance.

Guest Areas
As we are a small home owner run B&B, the guest areas of the house and the grounds are for the use of our guests only. If guests wish to have visitors, then this must be agreed by us in advance.
